The PetSafe® GPS Locator™ is extraordinarily versatile, designed for today's busy lifestyles. The unit has three well-defined operating modes, and it even lets you know when your unit's battery is running low so you never run the risk of being unable to track your dog.

PetSafe GPS Locator - GPS Dog Collar

The PetSafe GPS Locator is a sleek, compact unit fitted onto a comfortable, sturdy collar. The GPS locator weighs just 4.2 oz, and measures 3.75"x2.5"x1.25." The product is durable and water resistant.

Monitor Mode

  • The default operating mode of the PetSafe GPS Locator collar regularly checks that your dog is in the Home Zone™.

Walk Mode

  • Allows you and your dog to leave the Home Zone for up to 45 minutes at a time; then automatically reverts back to Monitor Mode.

Locate Mode

  • If your dog leaves the Home Zone - or if the Walk Mode elapses before your dog is back in the Home Zone - the unit shifts into Locate Mode and sends an escape alert to the Customer Care Center.
  • When you receive the alert, you can track your pet using this website or you can call the Customer Care Center to begin the tracking process.

The PetSafe GPS Locator runs on two rechargeable batteries. You will receive a low-battery alert approximately 24 hours before your unit is due to run out of power. This way, you can be sure to have adequate battery power in the event your dog is ever lost. Typical battery life is approximately 4-5 days.
